This research aims to collect empirical data regarding the effectiveness of using English animated videos in improving the speaking skills of eighth grade students at SMPN 9 South Tangerang. The research method used is quantitative with a quasi-experimental approach. A total of 60 students were selected as samples and divided into two groups: experimental and control. The instrument used was an oral test given before and after treatment. Pre-test and post-test data were analyzed using the t-test. The results showed a significant difference, with the experimental groups score being much higher than the control group, indicating that the use of English animated videos is effective in improving students speaking skills.

The study confirms that utilizing English animation videos significantly improves the speaking abilities of eighth-grade students at SMPN 9 South Tangerang.This method not only enhances speaking skills but also increases student engagement and interest in the learning process.Therefore, integrating multimedia technology, such as animated videos, is crucial for improving the effectiveness of language education and preparing students for future challenges.

Further research should explore the development of animated video-based learning media incorporating diverse approaches like storybooks or augmented reality to enhance the learning experience. Investigating the long-term effects of using animated videos on students speaking skills, self-confidence, and independent learning motivation is also crucial. Additionally, studies should adapt animated videos to different language proficiency levels and explore the integration of local cultural elements to strengthen students cultural identity while enriching their understanding of global cultures, ultimately contributing to more effective and culturally relevant language learning.
