In the current era of information technology, easy and efficient transaction management is an important requirement in the business world, both small and large scale. Mie Happy Restaurant is a medium-scale culinary business providing noodle-based preparations. Serving around 100 consumers daily necessitates a fast service process. However, the restaurant currently uses manual data processing and transaction management, leading to issues such as slow payment processes, frequent loss of receipts, difficulties in recapitulating transactions, and calculation errors. This research aims to develop a web-based cashier application to improve transaction management efficiency at Mie Happy Restaurant. The application was built using Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) and Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) with Visual Studio Code and MySQL Database Management System (DBMS). Black box testing results indicate the application functions as expected, providing convenience for administrators and increasing operational effectiveness.

Based on the discussion, the developed cashier application significantly assists in transaction management at Mie Happy Restaurant, from product data entry to transaction processing and reporting.The applications ease of use and speed enhance operational efficiency.The prototyping method proved suitable due to its iterative nature and user involvement throughout the development process.Ultimately, this application aids Mie Happy Restaurant in improving its operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Further research could explore the integration of online ordering systems with the cashier application to streamline the entire customer experience, from order placement to payment. Investigating the implementation of data analytics features within the application to identify sales trends and optimize menu offerings would also be beneficial. Additionally, a study on the applications scalability and adaptability to different restaurant types and sizes could broaden its potential impact, offering a more versatile solution for various culinary businesses. These advancements would not only enhance the applications functionality but also provide valuable insights for Mie Happy Restaurant and similar establishments to improve their overall business strategies and customer satisfaction.
