This article aims to analyze the effectiveness and challenges of the use of AI hardware in PAI. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method through literature review and documentation, analyzing various sources related to the implementation of AI in religious education. The research results show that AI can enhance student engagement and provide better learning. However, there are several issues: high costs, teachers who are not proficient in using AI, and the possibility of non-compliance with PAI standards. Therefore, the implementation of AI in PAI learning must be carried out with careful planning, appropriate policy support, and adequate training for teachers.

The study concludes that integrating AI into PAI learning holds significant potential for enhancing student engagement and providing personalized learning experiences.However, successful implementation requires addressing challenges related to ethical considerations, infrastructure costs, teacher proficiency, and the preservation of character education.Further research is needed to explore effective implementation models tailored to local contexts and to establish ethical guidelines and training programs for teachers to ensure sustainable and responsible AI integration.

Future research should investigate the development of AI-powered tools specifically designed to facilitate the understanding of complex Islamic concepts, such as tafsir and hadith, through interactive and personalized learning experiences. Additionally, studies are needed to explore the potential of virtual reality and augmented reality technologies to create immersive learning environments that simulate Islamic historical events and practices, fostering a deeper connection to the faith. Finally, research should focus on developing comprehensive training programs for PAI teachers, equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively integrate AI tools into their teaching methodologies while upholding Islamic values and ethical principles, ensuring a balanced and enriching educational experience for students.
