The purpose of this study is to assess the effects of integrating the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model with Tri Kaya Parisudha (TKP) on the development of character traits such as positive thinking, politeness, compassion, and honesty in fifth-grade elementary school students. The research utilized a quasi-experimental design involving students from elementary schools in Cluster VI, Kelurahan Kampung Baru, Buleleng District. The study found that students taught using the PBL model combined with TKP exhibited higher levels of these character traits compared to those taught solely with the PBL model, indicating that the combined model is more effective in fostering positive character development.

This research demonstrates that the integration of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model with Tri Kaya Parisudha (TKP) significantly enhances character development in fifth-grade elementary school students.Specifically, students exposed to this combined approach exhibited improved positive thinking, politeness, compassion, and honesty compared to their peers.These findings underscore the potential of culturally-rooted pedagogical approaches to foster holistic student development, encompassing both academic achievement and ethical character.

Penelitian lebih lanjut perlu dilakukan untuk mengeksplorasi efektivitas model PBL yang terintegrasi dengan Tri Kaya Parisudha dalam konteks mata pelajaran lain, seperti sains dan bahasa, untuk melihat apakah peningkatan karakter juga terjadi di bidang akademik lainnya. Selain itu, studi komparatif dapat dilakukan dengan membandingkan dampak model ini dengan pendekatan pendidikan karakter lainnya yang umum digunakan di Indonesia, guna mengidentifikasi keunggulan dan kekurangannya. Terakhir, penelitian kualitatif yang mendalam dapat dilakukan untuk memahami bagaimana siswa menginternalisasi nilai-nilai Tri Kaya Parisudha melalui model PBL ini, termasuk persepsi mereka tentang manfaatnya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dan bagaimana hal itu memengaruhi interaksi sosial mereka, sehingga dapat memberikan wawasan yang lebih komprehensif tentang mekanisme perubahan karakter yang terjadi.
