Work-related stress is a crucial factor in business, primarily due to its connection with employee performance. A company must perform well to generate profit, and high performance is the ideal. Conversely, declining performance can harm the business. Undoubtedly, every employee will experience some level of job-related stress. This study collected quantitative data through questionnaires and interviews. Validity tests, the coefficient of determination test, partial hypothesis testing, and classical assumption tests were employed to evaluate the variables. The research was conducted at PT PLN Unit X with a sample of 83 respondents. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS 20 for Windows. The main objective of this study is to identify the key factors contributing to employee stress and provide a foundation for the company to take appropriate action in managing stress and improving employee well-being. The findings reveal that workload, lack of appreciation, and work environment have a positive and significant impact on job stress, categorized as very strong. PT PLN Unit X aims to reduce employee stress levels to an ideal point that enables maximum performance by improving both financial and non-financial aspects of employee well-being.

Based on the data analysis and discussion of the research results, it can be concluded that the work environment has a significant and positive effect on employee job stress.Furthermore, employee job stress is influenced by a lack of appreciation at PT PLN Unit X.Finally, certain elements, potentially including workload, also contribute to stress, highlighting the need for regular evaluation of task distribution and adequate resource support.

Berdasarkan temuan penelitian ini, beberapa saran penelitian lanjutan dapat diajukan untuk memperdalam pemahaman mengenai stres kerja dan dampaknya pada karyawan. Pertama, penelitian lebih lanjut dapat dilakukan untuk menginvestigasi secara mendalam mekanisme mediasi antara faktor-faktor seperti dukungan sosial dan gaya kepemimpinan dalam mengurangi tingkat stres kerja. Hal ini dapat membantu perusahaan mengembangkan strategi intervensi yang lebih efektif. Kedua, studi komparatif dapat dilakukan dengan melibatkan beberapa unit bisnis di PT PLN atau bahkan perusahaan lain untuk mengidentifikasi perbedaan konteks dan faktor-faktor spesifik yang berkontribusi terhadap stres kerja di berbagai lingkungan kerja. Ketiga, penelitian longitudinal dapat dilakukan untuk melacak perubahan tingkat stres kerja karyawan dari waktu ke waktu dan mengevaluasi efektivitas program-program pengelolaan stres yang telah diimplementasikan. Penelitian ini akan memberikan wawasan yang berharga tentang dampak jangka panjang dari intervensi dan membantu perusahaan menyesuaikan strategi mereka sesuai kebutuhan. Dengan menggabungkan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif, penelitian-penelitian lanjutan ini dapat memberikan pemahaman yang lebih komprehensif tentang kompleksitas stres kerja dan memberikan dasar yang kuat untuk pengembangan kebijakan dan praktik pengelolaan sumber daya manusia yang lebih baik.
