As an Islamic movement and dawah of Amar Maruf Nahi Mungkar, which are sourced from the Quran and sunnah, Muhammadiyah needs to move in the regeneration process for the creation of progress or civilization. The purpose of this study is to know the concept of Muhammadiyah cadre development at the Muhammadiyah Boarding School Pleret Bantul Yogyakarta. This research is field research using a qualitative descriptive approach. This approach is intended to collect in-depth information about the development of Muhammadiyah cadres in the Muhammadiyah Boarding School Pleret Bantul Yogyakarta and get appropriate results from field research. Data collection is carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. In addition, researchers collect data by triangulation, which is collecting data while testing the credibility of the data by comparing various data collection techniques and various data sources. After all the data is collected, data analysis is carried out by reducing the data, presenting the data, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the development of Muhammadiyah cadres was carried out through learning activities, organizations, and schools. The implementation of the development of Muhammadiyah cadres is divided into three stages, namely preparation, implementation, and evaluation.

The study concludes that Muhammadiyah cadre development at Muhammadiyah Boarding School Pleret encompasses three key aspects.learning activities, organizational involvement, and the boarding school environment itself.This development is implemented through a three-stage process.The findings highlight the importance of aligning cadre development with Muhammadiyahs vision and mission, emphasizing habitualization, personification, and integration into various programs.Further research is recommended to explore differences in cadre development across various Muhammadiyah educational institutions.

Based on the findings, future research could investigate the effectiveness of different cadre development models across various Muhammadiyah educational institutions, considering factors like curriculum, pedagogical approaches, and the socio-cultural context. Furthermore, a comparative study examining cadre development strategies in Muhammadiyah versus other Islamic organizations could provide valuable insights into best practices and unique approaches. Finally, research exploring the long-term impact of Muhammadiyah cadre development on leadership roles within the community and broader society is warranted, focusing on the contributions of these cadres to social progress and Islamic values. These investigations should consider the evolving needs of society and the challenges faced by Muhammadiyah in maintaining its relevance and impact, ultimately contributing to a more robust and sustainable cadre development system for the organization. The research should also explore how digital literacy and technology integration can enhance the cadre development process, preparing future leaders for a rapidly changing world. This includes investigating the use of online learning platforms, social media engagement, and data analytics to improve the reach and effectiveness of cadre training programs, ensuring that Muhammadiyah remains a dynamic and forward-thinking organization.
