This research aims to understand school administrative management in High School Education Units in Mempawah Regency, West Kalimantan Province. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method and literature review for data collection. The study subjects include school principals, heads of administrative staff, and administrative staff themselves. School administrative personnel are crucial to the education process, yet often receive insufficient attention. Support from school management is urgently needed to enhance professionalism, competency, personnel ratios, facilities, and welfare. Therefore, efforts to elevate the role of school administrative staff are necessary to provide professional and high-quality educational administration services.

The role of school administration staff is vital in providing educational services, encompassing both academic and administrative functions.The quality of these services is influenced by factors such as personnel numbers, staff competency, workload, regulations, infrastructure, and management support.Improving the quality of school administrative staff requires training to enhance competence, workload management through appropriate task allocation, provision of adequate facilities, clear work instructions, and improved welfare through fair compensation.

Penelitian lebih lanjut perlu dilakukan untuk mengkaji secara mendalam dampak rasio jumlah staf administrasi terhadap kualitas layanan pendidikan di sekolah menengah atas. Studi ini dapat menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif untuk menganalisis hubungan antara rasio staf administrasi, jumlah siswa, dan indikator kualitas layanan seperti efisiensi proses administrasi dan kepuasan pengguna layanan. Selain itu, penelitian perlu difokuskan pada pengembangan model pelatihan yang lebih efektif dan relevan dengan kebutuhan staf administrasi sekolah, dengan mempertimbangkan perkembangan teknologi dan tuntutan administrasi modern. Terakhir, studi komparatif dapat dilakukan untuk membandingkan praktik pengelolaan staf administrasi di sekolah-sekolah dengan tingkat kinerja yang berbeda, guna mengidentifikasi praktik-praktik terbaik yang dapat diadopsi secara luas untuk meningkatkan kualitas layanan administrasi pendidikan secara keseluruhan.
