El Muntashir: Journal of Quranic StudiesEl Muntashir: Journal of Quranic StudiesThis paper explains how to build tolerance between religious communities that raises the issue of the problematic Nyepi and the construction of places of worship, then how the verses of the Quran become an offer or solution to this problem. This research method is a literature review and data related to the existing conflict. Using analytical and descriptive methods to find the right answer or formulation of the problem that has been explained. The celebration of Nyepi which in recent years coincides with the month of Ramadan has become a concern for the Balinese people. Then the conflict over the construction of worship which is the cause of tension between the minor and major communities is also a concern. The Quran provides a solution to realize harmony and religious tolerance. Even this is stated in the 1945 Constitution and government laws. There are discussions and education about the importance of maintaining harmony such as the task of the Interfaith Harmony Forum (FKUB) which unites leaders of each religion. Understanding the verses of tolerance makes community life safe and peaceful.
Tolerance between religious communities is a crucial foundation for maintaining social harmony in Indonesias diverse society.Cases involving the intersection of Nyepi celebrations with Muslim worship and obstacles in constructing places of worship for minority groups highlight ongoing challenges in practicing tolerance.The Quran offers guidance through principles of religious freedom, respect for other beliefs, justice, and the values of tolerance and brotherhood, providing a framework for peaceful coexistence and resolving socio-religious conflicts.
Penelitian lebih lanjut perlu dilakukan untuk menggali lebih dalam bagaimana implementasi nilai-nilai toleransi dalam perspektif Al-Quran dapat diintegrasikan ke dalam kurikulum pendidikan agama di Indonesia, sehingga generasi muda memiliki pemahaman yang komprehensif tentang pentingnya kerukunan antar umat beragama. Selain itu, studi komparatif mengenai efektivitas berbagai model dialog antaragama yang diterapkan di Indonesia dan negara lain dapat memberikan wawasan berharga untuk meningkatkan kualitas komunikasi dan pemahaman antar komunitas agama. Terakhir, penelitian yang berfokus pada peran media sosial dalam membentuk opini publik tentang isu-isu keagamaan dan dampaknya terhadap toleransi juga sangat relevan, mengingat media sosial memiliki pengaruh yang besar dalam masyarakat modern. Penelitian ini dapat mengidentifikasi strategi untuk memanfaatkan media sosial sebagai alat untuk mempromosikan toleransi dan melawan ujaran kebencian, serta memahami bagaimana narasi-narasi keagamaan yang konstruktif dapat dibangun dan disebarluaskan secara efektif untuk memperkuat kerukunan bangsa.
