This study analyzes the shift in Hanan Attakis dawa practices through the phenomenon of religious mediatization, based on Stig Hjarvards theory of religious mediatization. In the digital era, dawa develops beyond physical space through social media platforms and other digital channels. Research data were obtained by observing content on Hanan Attakis official accounts, such as YouTube, Instagram, and other digital platforms, and interviews with offline study participants who follow her dawa activities. The results show that the mediatization of religion allows for significant changes in preaching in terms of format, message, and interaction with the audience. Hanan Attaki uses modern approaches relevant to popular culture to reach the younger generation. In this context, Hanan Attaki makes the media a tool for dissemination and a space for reconstructing religious practices. This research provides insight into how the mediatization of religion changes the method of dawa and creates a new space for the development of religion in the digital era and strengthening the relevance of dawa in modern society.

The study concludes that Hanan Attakis dawa exemplifies the transformation of preaching through mediatization, where media shapes both the delivery and content of religious messages. This shift expands the reach of dawa beyond traditional spaces, adapting to the digital age and engaging a younger audience. However, the study also highlights potential drawbacks such as commercialization and the risk of superficiality in religious understanding, necessitating a balance between technological convenience and spiritual depth.

Further research should explore the long-term impact of digital dawa on the religious beliefs and practices of young Muslims, investigating whether increased accessibility leads to deeper faith or a more superficial engagement with religious teachings. Additionally, studies could examine the ethical implications of commercializing dawa, analyzing how financial incentives might influence the content and authenticity of religious messages. Finally, comparative research across different digital preachers and platforms is needed to identify best practices for effective and responsible dawa in the digital age, considering the unique characteristics of each medium and audience.
