The Covid-19 pandemic has forced a shift in marketing patterns for MSMEs to survive amidst mobility restrictions. Reduced consumer activity and decreased flow of goods and services led to income reduction, prompting business actors to adopt digital technology for sustainability. This study aims to identify trends and research themes in digital marketing for MSMEs, classifying and identifying literature themes over the last 7 years. A bibliometric analysis was conducted on 161 articles found from the Scopus-indexed database using Publish or Perish (PoP) software, with 101 articles analyzed. The selected articles were managed using Mendeley and visualized using VOSviewer software. This review provides a reference point for further research on digital marketing in MSMEs.

This research reviewed journal articles related to digital marketing in MSMEs, collecting data from the Scopus database between 2016 and 2022.The analysis identified a limited number of authors studying this topic, highlighting the importance of further research in this area.Overall, the study indicates a growing trend in digital marketing research for MSMEs, which is expected to continue increasing in the future to address various developmental challenges.

Penelitian lebih lanjut perlu dilakukan untuk mengeksplorasi secara mendalam bagaimana berbagai platform digital marketing, seperti media sosial, e-commerce, dan aplikasi mobile, dapat dioptimalkan untuk meningkatkan kinerja pemasaran MSMEs, khususnya dengan mempertimbangkan karakteristik unik dari berbagai sektor industri. Selain itu, penting untuk meneliti dampak implementasi teknologi kecerdasan buatan (AI) dalam digital marketing terhadap efisiensi operasional dan peningkatan daya saing MSMEs, termasuk identifikasi tantangan dan peluang yang terkait dengan adopsi AI. Terakhir, studi komparatif perlu dilakukan untuk membandingkan efektivitas strategi digital marketing yang diterapkan oleh MSMEs di berbagai wilayah geografis dan tingkat perkembangan ekonomi, guna mengidentifikasi praktik terbaik dan rekomendasi kebijakan yang relevan untuk mendorong pertumbuhan MSMEs secara berkelanjutan.
