Khalil bin Ahmad al-Farahidi is one of the most influential figures in the development of classical Arabic linguistics. He is known to be the originator of al-Ayn, the first dictionary of Arabic systematically organised based on phonetic and morphological principles, and the inventor of the science of Arūḍ which discusses the metrical structure of Arabic poetry. In addition, his contributions to the development of nahwu and the establishment of grammatical rules have provided a crucial foundation for Arabic linguistics. This study aims to examine in depth al-Farahidis intellectual donation to Arabic linguistics and analyse its relevance in the context of Arabic language learning in the modern era. The approach used means historical literature review and conceptual analysis, tracing his works and thoughts and linking them using contemporary learning practices. The research states that the phonetic, morphological, and analytical systematic approaches developed by al-Farahidi are very relevant to be applied in technology-based learning and contextual linguistics. His scholarly legacy not only has historical value, but is also functional in the development of todays Arabic language education discoveries.

Khalil bin Ahmad al-Farahidi is a central figure in the history of Arabic language science, with significant contributions to its development.His innovations, including al-Ayn, the science of Arūḍ, and the formulation of nahwu rules, have formed a systematic framework for Arabic linguistics.In the modern era, al-Farahidis thinking remains highly relevant, inspiring the digitalisation of dictionaries and the application of analytical methods to language learning.

Penelitian lebih lanjut dapat dilakukan untuk mengeksplorasi secara mendalam bagaimana pendekatan fonetik dan morfologis al-Farahidi dapat diintegrasikan ke dalam aplikasi pembelajaran bahasa Arab berbasis kecerdasan buatan, sehingga menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang lebih personal dan adaptif. Selain itu, studi komparatif dapat dilakukan untuk membandingkan efektivitas metode pembelajaran tradisional dengan metode yang mengadopsi prinsip-prinsip analisis linguistik al-Farahidi dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa Arab siswa. Terakhir, penelitian dapat difokuskan pada pengembangan model pembelajaran kontekstual yang memanfaatkan kekayaan kosakata dan struktur bahasa Arab klasik yang dikompilasi dalam al-Ayn, untuk membekali siswa dengan keterampilan komunikasi yang relevan dengan kebutuhan dunia modern, sehingga menghasilkan lulusan yang tidak hanya menguasai tata bahasa, tetapi juga mampu menggunakan bahasa Arab secara efektif dalam berbagai situasi nyata.
