Tasamuh: Jurnal Studi IslamTasamuh: Jurnal Studi IslamThe issue of the relationship between revelation and reason has again become an important focus in contemporary exegetical studies along with the development of rational and scientific approaches to the Quran (Q.S. Al-Alaq [96]: 1–5). This study aims to uncover the epistemological construction of Quranic exegesis that seeks to integrate revelation as a source of transcendental truth and reason as an interpretive instrument in understanding the divine message. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with library research methods through content and comparative analysis of classical and modern exegetical works such as Fakhruddin al-Razi, Fazlur Rahman, Nasr Hamid Abu Zayd, Muhammad Syahrur, Quraish Shihab, and Seyyed Hossein Nasr. The results show that the integration of revelation and reason is the foundation for a scientific, religious, and humanistic exegetical paradigm. The novelty of this research lies in the attempt to formulate an integrative epistemological model of interpretation that methodologically synthesizes Seyyed Hossein Nasrs Scientia Sacra concept and Fazlur Rahmans Double Movement theory to build a rational and spiritual interpretation framework. Academically, this research recommends the development of an interpretation curriculum and methodology based on integrative epistemology so that Quranic interpretation functions not only as a spiritual source but also as a contextual and adaptive intellectual guide to the challenges of the modern era.
Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa hubungan antara wahyu dan akal dalam tafsir Al-Quran bukanlah pertentangan, melainkan perpaduan yang saling melengkapi dalam menyingkap kebenaran Ilahi.Wahyu menjadi sumber kebenaran mutlak, sedangkan akal berperan sebagai alat interpretatif yang menuntun pemahaman manusia secara rasional dan spiritual.Integrasi ini menghasilkan paradigma tafsir yang seimbang dan relevan dengan tantangan zaman.
Penelitian lanjutan perlu dilakukan untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana model integrasi wahyu dan akal ini dapat diterapkan dalam pengembangan kurikulum tafsir di lembaga pendidikan Islam, serta bagaimana pendekatan ini dapat diintegrasikan dengan metode penelitian multidisipliner untuk menjawab persoalan-persoalan sosial dan keilmuan kontemporer. Lebih lanjut, penelitian dapat difokuskan pada studi komparatif antara model integrasi yang ditawarkan dalam penelitian ini dengan pendekatan tafsir lainnya, seperti tafsir feminis atau tafsir sosio-politik, untuk mengidentifikasi potensi sinergi dan perbedaan. Selain itu, penelitian lanjutan juga dapat mengkaji implikasi epistemologis dari integrasi wahyu dan akal terhadap pengembangan ilmu-ilmu keislaman lainnya, seperti fiqih, ushul fiqih, dan tasawuf, untuk menghasilkan pemahaman yang lebih komprehensif dan holistik tentang ajaran Islam.
