Tibial fracture is a condition where the continuity of the bone is broken due to direct or indirect trauma. Tibial fractures are one of the most common types of lower extremity fractures throughout the world. Therefore, appropriate management strategies are needed to reduce the incidence of tibia fractures and the impacts they can cause. This research aims to determine the effect of implementing Mozart classical music therapy on pain in post-op patients with tibia fractures. A descriptive analytical literature review design was employed. Data was obtained through article search results using two electronic databases, namely Google Scholar and Garuda Portal, identifying 167 articles with a total sample size of 79 respondents. Analysis uses a map of extracted data in a grid synthesis table including author, year of publication, country, aim, sample, design, duration, results and research conclusions. The research demonstrates that Mozart classical music therapy has a significant effect on reducing pain in post-op patients with tibia fractures. It can be concluded that Mozart classical music therapy is effective in reducing pain in post-op patients with tibia fractures.

This literature review identified three studies demonstrating the effectiveness of Mozart classical music therapy in reducing pain intensity in post-operative tibia fracture patients.The studies showed a significant reduction in pain scores in the experimental groups compared to control groups, with statistically significant p-values indicating the positive impact of the therapy.These findings suggest that Mozarts classical music can be a valuable non-pharmacological intervention for managing post-operative pain.

Penelitian lebih lanjut perlu dilakukan untuk menginvestigasi jenis musik klasik lain selain Mozart yang mungkin memiliki efek serupa dalam mengurangi nyeri pasca operasi. Studi komparatif dapat membandingkan efektivitas Mozart dengan komposer klasik lainnya, atau bahkan genre musik yang berbeda, untuk menentukan pendekatan musik yang paling optimal. Selain itu, penelitian yang lebih mendalam diperlukan untuk memahami mekanisme neurofisiologis yang mendasari efek analgesik dari terapi musik Mozart, misalnya dengan menggunakan teknik pencitraan otak untuk mengamati perubahan aktivitas otak selama mendengarkan musik. Terakhir, penelitian prospektif yang melibatkan jumlah peserta yang lebih besar dan desain studi yang lebih ketat, seperti uji klinis acak terkontrol, diperlukan untuk mengkonfirmasi temuan ini dan menentukan protokol terapi musik yang paling efektif, termasuk durasi, frekuensi, dan waktu pemberian terapi yang optimal untuk memaksimalkan pengurangan nyeri pada pasien pasca fraktur tibia.
