This study is motivated by the importance of the concept of Islamic education in the era of globalization and the young generation, particularly in shaping holistic character. In this context, Islamic education rests upon three core pillars: tarbiyah (nurturing), talim (instruction), and tadib (inculcation of proper conduct), each of which carries its own meaning and function, such as educating, maintaining, and guiding. These three concepts are highly relevant to restoring and reinforcing moral and ethical values that are gradually fading among the young generation. The purpose of this research is to establish tarbiyah, talim, and tadib as the grand design of character education for young generation so that they may behave with courtesy, ethics, and noble morals within the framework of Islamic education, and become well-prepared to face future challenges. The study employs a qualitative method with a descriptive-narrative approach. The main focus lies in character formation and courteous behavior, encompassing stages of data collection, analysis, presentation, and conclusion. The findings indicate that although tarbiyah, talim, and tadib possess distinct meanings, all three share a common goal in shaping a holistic form of Islamic education.

The concepts of tarbiyah, talim, and tadib represent three complementary pillars in contemporary Islamic education.Tarbiyah focuses on personality and spiritual development, talim emphasizes knowledge and intellectual reasoning, and tadib centers on cultivating Islamic manners and moral values.Implementing these values requires integrating Islamic principles into learning, utilizing teacher role models, providing digital spiritual guidance, and promoting ethical media literacy.The successful integration of these concepts relies on dedicated educators, value-based curricula, family support, and the positive use of digital technology.

Further research should explore the practical application of tarbiyah, talim, and tadib in diverse educational settings, considering the unique challenges faced by the millennial generation in the digital age. Specifically, studies could investigate the effectiveness of integrating Islamic values into online learning platforms and social media environments to counter negative influences and promote moral development. Additionally, research is needed to develop and evaluate training programs for educators to enhance their ability to serve as role models and effectively implement these concepts in their teaching practices. Finally, longitudinal studies could track the long-term impact of character education programs based on tarbiyah, talim, and tadib on the ethical behavior and social responsibility of young Muslims, providing valuable insights for policy and curriculum development. These investigations should aim to provide concrete strategies for fostering a generation grounded in Islamic values and equipped to navigate the complexities of the modern world, contributing to a more just and harmonious society.
