Bonjeruk village has historical and cultural potential. The youths felt that Bonjeruk, once a central government location during Dutch colonial times, held significance. This research employed a qualitative-descriptive method, utilizing observation, interviews, and documentation for data collection. Data analysis involved categorization, description, and synthesis, including data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The study reveals a correlation between English language proficiency and tourism development, highlighting the importance of language skills in promoting tourism and ensuring its sustainability.

The research concludes that English language skills among the Bonjeruk tourism village community, particularly for tourism actors, significantly impact tourism development in the village.This is evidenced by the increasing number of foreign tourist arrivals and the resulting economic benefits for the local community.Tourism development is intertwined with the ability to provide services and promote the area effectively to international visitors.

Based on the findings, future research should explore the specific language needs of tourism stakeholders in Bonjeruk village, moving beyond general English proficiency to focus on specialized vocabulary and communication skills relevant to the tourism industry. Furthermore, a comparative study could be conducted with other tourism villages in Lombok to identify best practices in language training and its impact on tourism revenue. Finally, research could investigate the role of local cultural preservation in attracting tourists and how language can be used to effectively communicate the unique cultural heritage of Bonjeruk village, ensuring sustainable tourism that benefits both the economy and the community. These studies will contribute to a more nuanced understanding of the relationship between language, tourism, and cultural identity in the context of developing tourism destinations.
