This study aims to analyze the impact of internal quality assurance systems in bridging students skill gaps in vocational education. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed. Data were collected through interviews, documentation, and surveys, and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, which includes data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the internal quality assurance system has been implemented across all stages of the quality cycle, including standard setting, quality mapping, planning, implementation, as well as monitoring and evaluation. However, the implementation remains largely procedural and has not been fully integrated to produce optimal educational outcomes. Students demonstrate adequate technical skills, yet still face limitations in non-technical skills such as communication, adaptability, and problem-solving. These gaps are attributed to the suboptimal use of data in decision-making, limited involvement of industry stakeholders, and the underdeveloped quality culture within schools. This study concludes that internal quality assurance contributes to improving educational processes but has not been fully effective in bridging students skill gaps. Therefore, strengthening the integration of the quality cycle, adopting data-driven approaches, and enhancing collaboration with industry are essential to improve the relevance and quality of educational outcomes.

The study concludes that while the internal quality assurance system has been systematically implemented across all stages of the quality cycle, its impact on bridging students skill gaps remains limited.The system has improved students technical skills, but gaps persist in non-technical skills crucial for the workforce.This is due to a lack of integration between quality assurance stages, suboptimal data utilization, and insufficient industry involvement.Therefore, strengthening the integration of the quality cycle, enhancing data-driven decision-making, and increasing industry collaboration are essential to improve educational outcomes.

Penelitian lebih lanjut perlu dilakukan untuk menggali lebih dalam mengenai bagaimana memperkuat integrasi antara siklus penjaminan mutu dengan kebutuhan industri, misalnya dengan meneliti model kolaborasi yang efektif antara sekolah kejuruan dan dunia usaha. Selain itu, penting untuk menginvestigasi strategi peningkatan literasi data bagi para pendidik, sehingga mereka dapat memanfaatkan data hasil evaluasi secara optimal untuk merancang pembelajaran yang lebih relevan dan responsif terhadap kebutuhan peserta didik. Terakhir, penelitian dapat difokuskan pada pengembangan instrumen evaluasi yang komprehensif, tidak hanya mengukur keterampilan teknis, tetapi juga keterampilan non-teknis seperti komunikasi, adaptabilitas, dan pemecahan masalah, yang sangat dibutuhkan di dunia kerja. Penelitian-penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan rekomendasi konkret bagi pembuat kebijakan dan praktisi pendidikan dalam upaya meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan kejuruan dan mempersiapkan lulusan yang kompeten dan siap kerja, dengan mempertimbangkan bahwa implementasi sistem penjaminan mutu internal yang efektif memerlukan perubahan budaya organisasi yang mendukung peningkatan kualitas berkelanjutan.
