The learning method is a way or strategy in delivering material from a teacher to a student. The learning methods used by a teacher can determine the success of student learning. This study aims to overcome the problems faced by teachers on how to design learning that can stimulate student creativity by using the method of learning while playing at SDIT Al Munawwar Batu City. This research uses qualitative research methods and descriptive research types, namely the data collected is in the form of words, images, and not numbers. This is due to the application of qualitative methods. In addition, everything collected is likely to be the key to what has been researched. The result of this research is that Learning by Play Method provides convenience to students because they are immediately responsive and understand what is being classed by the teacher in thematic subjects theme 5 subtheme 3 about making play-doh from natural materials.

The research concludes that the Learning by Play method is highly suitable for students transitioning from Kindergarten to Elementary School, as evidenced by an active and engaging classroom atmosphere and ease of understanding.Students readily respond and grasp the material presented by the teacher in the thematic subject of creating play-doh from natural materials.This method facilitates a more enjoyable and effective learning experience for young learners, fostering creativity and engagement.

Based on the findings, future research could explore the long-term impact of the Learning by Play method on students creativity and academic performance beyond the specific thematic lesson observed. Furthermore, a comparative study could be conducted to assess the effectiveness of this method against other traditional teaching approaches in similar educational settings. Finally, investigating the role of teacher training and support in successfully implementing the Learning by Play method could provide valuable insights for improving its adoption and maximizing its benefits in elementary education. These studies would contribute to a deeper understanding of how play-based learning can be optimized to nurture creativity and enhance learning outcomes for young students, ultimately informing pedagogical practices and curriculum development.
