Kayutangan Heritage in Malang City is a historical tourist destination with great potential, particularly for millennials and Gen Z who are active on social media. This paper aims to provide a strategy for the areas manager to actively utilize digital influencers in attracting tourists through content shared on social media. The study analyzes strategies for establishing relationships with digital influencers in the Kayutangan Heritage area, employing a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews with influencers, managers, and tourism experts. The results indicate that collaboration with influencers can increase visibility and build a positive image through authentic and relevant content. Effective relationships require open communication, understanding of each partys values, and clear goal alignment. By fostering strong relationships, Kayutangan Heritage can strengthen its appeal and achieve broader promotional goals in the digital era.

The research highlights the significant role of digital influencers in marketing tourist destinations like Kayutangan Heritage, demonstrating their impact on tourist perceptions and intentions.Influencers with credibility and authentic content are particularly effective in attracting visitors.Effective influencer marketing requires careful selection, tailored content design, and a focus on the target audience.Ultimately, thorough planning, management, and evaluation are crucial for maximizing the contribution of influencers to digital marketing promotion goals.

Further research should investigate the long-term impact of influencer marketing on the economic sustainability of Kayutangan Heritage, moving beyond visit numbers to assess revenue generation and local business growth. Additionally, a comparative study examining the effectiveness of different influencer tiers (micro, macro, mega) in reaching specific target demographics within the millennial and Gen Z cohorts would be valuable. Finally, exploring the potential of integrating augmented reality (AR) or virtual reality (VR) experiences into influencer-created content could enhance engagement and provide potential visitors with a more immersive preview of the Kayutangan Heritage area, fostering a stronger desire to visit and explore its historical and cultural richness. These studies, building on the current research, will provide a more comprehensive understanding of how to leverage digital influencers for sustainable tourism development and enhance the visitor experience in heritage destinations.
