Jurnal Manajemen Pendidikan Islam DarussalamJurnal Manajemen Pendidikan Islam DarussalamThe purpose of this study is to analyze teacher teaching competency in improving the quality of learning at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Nurul Huda. The study aims to evaluate aspects of teacher competency, including pedagogical knowledge, communication skills, and the application of innovative learning methods. This research approach is qualitative with a case study design. Data collection through interviews, observations, and document analysis. Data validation with triangulation and data analysis using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that teacher competency at MI Nurul Huda has a significant influence on the quality of learning received by students. Factors that influence teacher competency include professional training, teaching experience, and support from the school. In addition, this study also discusses relevant learning theories, such as Constructivism Theory, which emphasizes the importance of the active role of students in the learning process. The findings of this study are expected to provide recommendations for MI Nurul Huda managers and policymakers in designing sustainable teacher competency development programs. Thus, it is hoped that the quality of education at the institution can improve, so that students can reach their maximum potential in the learning process. This research makes an important contribution to the development of education at the elementary level, especially in the madrasah context.
The study concludes that teacher competence significantly impacts the quality of learning at MI Nurul Huda.Effective teaching requires a mastery of subject matter, the ability to utilize learning support tools, and the implementation of appropriate learning methods.Continuous investment in teacher competency development, provision of adequate facilities, and strategic integration of technology are crucial for improving educational quality.
Further research should investigate the impact of specific teacher training programs on student learning outcomes at MI Nurul Huda, focusing on measurable improvements in academic performance and student engagement. Additionally, a comparative study could be conducted to analyze the differences in teacher competencies and learning quality between various madrasah types, considering factors such as location, resources, and curriculum. Finally, research is needed to explore the effectiveness of integrating digital technology and innovative learning methods, such as gamification and project-based learning, into the madrasah curriculum to enhance student motivation and prepare them for the challenges of the 21st century. These investigations should consider the unique context of Islamic education and aim to provide practical recommendations for improving the quality of teaching and learning in madrasah settings, ultimately contributing to the holistic development of students and their ability to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
