The management of dai extracurricular activities plays an important role in improving the soft skills of students in Islamic boarding schools. The purpose of this study is to analyze the management of dai extracurricular activities for male students, identify the soft skills possessed by students, and evaluate the influence of dai extracurricular activities on improving the soft skills of male students at Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School, Jombang. The research method uses a qualitative approach with a case study type, data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation, and data analysis using data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions with data validity through triangulation of sources, time, and techniques. The results of the study indicate that dai extracurricular activities are carried out through careful planning, clear organization, mobilization that encourages the improvement of soft skills, and continuous supervision; the students soft skills include good communication, cooperation, leadership, empathy, and emotional intelligence; and structured dai extracurricular activities effectively improve the communication skills, morals, empathy, cooperation, leadership, and creativity of students. The conclusion of this study is that structured and systematic management of dai extracurricular activities is the main key in creating a learning environment that supports the development of character and social competence in Jombang.

The management of the dai extracurricular activity at Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School in Jombang runs effectively through the implementation of management functions including planning, organizing, mobilizing, and supervising.This activity is designed to provide practical experience while improving students soft skills such as communication skills, cooperation, leadership, empathy, and emotional intelligence.Structured and systematic management creates a conducive learning environment for the development of students character and social competence.

Based on the findings of this research, several avenues for future study emerge. First, further investigation is needed to explore the optimal balance between academic pursuits and extracurricular involvement to maximize soft skill development without compromising core religious education. Second, research could focus on developing and evaluating innovative training modules for dai instructors, equipping them with the latest pedagogical techniques to enhance student engagement and skill acquisition. Finally, a comparative study examining the effectiveness of different dai extracurricular models across various Islamic boarding schools could provide valuable insights into best practices and contextual adaptations. These studies should consider the unique characteristics of each institution and the specific needs of their student populations, ultimately contributing to a more comprehensive understanding of how to cultivate well-rounded, skilled, and ethically grounded future leaders within the Islamic community. This research should also explore the long-term impact of participation in dai extracurricular activities on alumni career paths and community engagement, providing evidence-based recommendations for program improvement and sustainability.
