Darul Huda Mayak Islamic Boarding School is a boarding school that uses the salafiyatil hadithah method. In the process of understanding yellow books, at least one must master the science of nahwu and sharaf, because these two sciences are the main gateways to understanding and studying various yellow books. At Darul Huda Mayak Islamic Boarding School, the Al-Miftah lil ulum method has been applied, a basic method to get to know in depth the rules of nahwu and sharaf which are arranged practically. This study aims to analyze (1) the application of the Al-Miftah lil ulum method in learning yellow books at Darul Huda Mayak Islamic Boarding School; (2) supporting factors and inhibiting factors in the application of the Al-Miftah lil ulum method at Darul Huda Mayak Islamic Boarding School; and (3) the implications of the application of the Al-Miftah lil ulum method in learning yellow books at Darul Huda Mayak Islamic Boarding School. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection methods using Observation, Interviews and Documentation. Data analysis using data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions, verification, developing model building models, compiling write-up reports). Data validity techniques using technical triangulation and source triangulation. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that (1) the Al-Miftah method was applied in the book room of the Darul Huda Mayak Islamic Boarding School by combining lecture, singing, and memorization techniques. In addition, there are also four strategies applied, namely understanding and memorizing material, learning songs, takror and questions and answers, and innovative game strategies.

Conclusion

Based on the research results regarding the implementation of the Al-Miftah Lil Ulum method in improving Santris reading of yellow books in the Book Room of Darul Huda Mayak Islamic Boarding School, the following conclusions can be drawn.The Al-Miftah Lil Ulum method at Darul Huda Mayak Islamic Boarding School is very effective in improving Santris ability to read and understand yellow books.This method uses various strategies such as understanding and memorizing context, learning through songs, takror techniques, question and answer sessions, and innovative games to make learning more interesting.In addition, the Bina Baca and Minat Baca Kitab program has been introduced as a response to the high demand for this method to be taught outside the book room, as well as a teaching practice for senior Santri.Santris understanding is evaluated comprehensively through exercises in each chapter and essay and narrative questions from the instructor.As a result, this method not only deepens Santris understanding but also prepares them to become competent teachers.Supporting factors in the implementation of the Al-Miftah Lil Ulum method include high interest from Santri because this method is presented in a concise and attractive manner.In addition, guidance provided by competent and certified instructors is also a key supporting factor.Adequate infrastructure also supports the smooth running of learning.However, several inhibiting factors were also found in this process.Lack of educators can be a serious obstacle.In addition, less effective learning time and boredom with the material can also hinder the success of this method in achieving optimal learning objectives.The presence of the Al-Miftah Lil Ulum method at Darul Huda Islamic Boarding School has created a dynamic and diverse learning environment.This method has sparked an increase in Santris interest in reading yellow books because it is presented in an attractive and effective manner.In addition, this method also facilitates the understanding of nahwu, especially for Santri with a higher level of understanding.The ability to read and understand yellow books better also gives Santri greater confidence, so they are more motivated to explore other branches of science beyond nahwu with greater confidence.All of this contributes to positive development in education at Darul Huda Mayak Islamic Boarding School.

Future Research

Based on the background, methods, results, limitations, and suggestions for further research, the following new research suggestions can be proposed: 1. Explore the impact of the Al-Miftah Lil Ulum method on Santris long-term retention of knowledge and its application in real-life situations. This can be done by conducting a longitudinal study to track Santris progress over an extended period. 2. Investigate the effectiveness of the Al-Miftah Lil Ulum method in fostering critical thinking skills and analytical abilities among Santri. Develop assessment tools to measure these skills and compare the results with those of Santri who have not undergone this method. 3. Examine the potential of the Al-Miftah Lil Ulum method in promoting a more inclusive and diverse learning environment. Analyze how this method can be adapted to cater to the needs of Santri with different learning styles and abilities, ensuring equal opportunities for all.
