Children, viewed as a divine trust from Allah SWT, are entrusted to parents from the moment they grace the world. This bequeathed responsibility mandates parents to meticulously nurture and educate their progeny, directing them towards the cultivation of utility and noble character. Born in a state of fitrah, childrens trajectories, whether towards virtue or peril, hinge significantly upon the guidance provided by parents. This research delves into the principles underpinning the cultivation of piety in children through education, explores methodologies employed in educating pious children, and identifies strategic efforts to foster piety from an educational standpoint. Employing a descriptive research methodology, the study examines current issues through library research. The findings underscore the imperative of cultivating pious children to nurture individuals of noble character, contributing to peace and tranquility. The practice of educating children in piety is enduring, as the prayers of pious children become a means of salvation for parents. The conceptualization of forming a pious child involves the developmental nurturing of their soul, even within the womb, with the overarching goal of achieving virtuous outcomes. Efforts to foster pious children entail the deliberate incorporation of moral education in both formal and informal educational settings. The methodologies employed encompass exemplariness, adherence to cultural norms, advice, focused attention, and judicious disciplinary measures.

The research concludes that the primary goal of forming pious children is to cultivate individuals with noble morals, fostering peace and tranquility in both this world and the afterlife.Educating children to be pious is an ongoing practice that offers protection from adversity.Within Islamic education, the formation of a pious child begins with nurturing the soul even during prenatal development, emphasizing the importance of special attention during this period.Efforts to develop pious children are achieved through the application of moral education in both formal and informal settings, utilizing methods such as example, custom, advice, attention, and appropriate discipline.

Berdasarkan penelitian ini, beberapa saran penelitian lanjutan dapat diajukan. Pertama, penelitian lebih lanjut dapat dilakukan untuk mengeksplorasi secara mendalam pengaruh lingkungan sebaya terhadap pembentukan karakter shaleh pada anak-anak, dengan fokus pada bagaimana orang tua dan sekolah dapat berkolaborasi untuk menciptakan lingkungan pergaulan yang positif. Kedua, penelitian dapat difokuskan pada pengembangan model pendidikan karakter berbasis Islam yang lebih komprehensif dan terintegrasi, yang tidak hanya menekankan aspek kognitif dan afektif, tetapi juga aspek psikomotorik dan spiritual. Model ini perlu mempertimbangkan konteks budaya dan sosial yang berbeda agar dapat diterapkan secara efektif. Ketiga, penelitian perlu dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi strategi yang efektif untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan orang tua dalam pendidikan agama anak-anak mereka, terutama bagi orang tua yang memiliki kesibukan kerja atau tingkat pendidikan yang rendah. Penelitian ini dapat mengeksplorasi penggunaan teknologi dan media sosial untuk memfasilitasi komunikasi dan kolaborasi antara orang tua, sekolah, dan lembaga pendidikan agama. Dengan demikian, diharapkan dapat tercipta sinergi yang kuat dalam upaya membentuk generasi muda yang beriman, bertaqwa, dan berakhlak mulia.
