Traditional factors and religious beliefs often play a significant role in shaping the legal framework governing intimate relationships. This research provides insights into the variations in the age of consent laws and their relationship with marriage in several Muslim-majority countries. The legal principles found in the Quran and Hadith provide a foundational framework that reflects the relevance of Islam for all people in various temporal and geographical contexts, with the principle of preventing harm as a primary basis. Protecting children and vulnerable individuals should always remain a top priority. The issues of age of consent and child marriage are ongoing and require careful consideration, with a focus on the well-being of children and the interests of individuals.

The age of consent in Islam is a complex issue shaped by the interplay of culture, religion, and laws governing sexual activities and marriage.Legal principles in the Quran and Hadith provide a foundational framework, emphasizing the prevention of harm and allowing flexibility within the context of marriage.While arguments regarding the permissibility of early-age marriages, such as the marriage of Prophet Muhammad to Aisha, lack strong legal coherence, the protection of children and vulnerable individuals remains a primary concern.Ultimately, the regulation of the age of consent varies across Muslim countries, reflecting efforts to balance cultural values, legal norms, and individual protection.

Penelitian lebih lanjut perlu dilakukan untuk mengeksplorasi dampak psikologis dan sosial jangka panjang dari praktik pernikahan dini terhadap perempuan dan anak-anak di berbagai negara mayoritas Muslim, dengan mempertimbangkan faktor-faktor budaya dan ekonomi yang berkontribusi terhadap fenomena ini. Selain itu, studi komparatif mendalam mengenai efektivitas berbagai pendekatan hukum dan kebijakan dalam menanggulangi pernikahan dini di berbagai negara dapat memberikan wawasan berharga bagi perumusan strategi yang lebih efektif. Terakhir, penelitian yang berfokus pada interpretasi ulang teks-teks keagamaan yang relevan dengan isu usia persetujuan dan pernikahan anak, dengan melibatkan ulama dan ahli hukum Islam progresif, dapat membantu mempromosikan pemahaman yang lebih inklusif dan berkeadilan gender dalam konteks agama.
