Due to the volume of orders and network complexity, KUKAMI Delivery faces high operational costs and suboptimal routing using the Shortest Path Method. This method often results in inefficient routes in terms of distance because the starting points could be more optimal. Therefore, a more practical approach is needed to improve route efficiency.. . This study compares two route optimization methods: the Shortest Path Method and the Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) with the Saving Matrix approach and Pool Clustering. The latter technique groups partners or suppliers within specific areas, facilitating more efficient rider assignments.. . The results of this study are significant for KUKAMI Delivery. They show that the Shortest Path Method can improve distance and operational costs by 8.54% for inter-cluster and cross-cluster routes. However, applying the VRP with the Saving Matrix Method and Pool Clustering can further enhance distance and operational efficiency by 3.36% compared to the Shortest Path Method. These findings provide valuable insights for enhancing KUKAMI Deliverys operations better to meet the growing demand in the local delivery industry.

The research demonstrates that the Shortest Path Method is effective for cross-cluster and inter-cluster routes, reducing distance and operational costs by 8.However, the Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) with the Saving Matrix Method and Pool Clustering further improves efficiency by 3.36% compared to the Shortest Path Method.These findings suggest that implementing pool clustering can optimize KUKAMI Deliverys operations and meet increasing local delivery demands.

Penelitian lebih lanjut dapat dilakukan dengan mengembangkan model optimasi yang lebih komprehensif dengan mempertimbangkan faktor-faktor dinamis seperti fluktuasi permintaan dan kondisi lalu lintas. Studi komparatif pada industri atau perusahaan lain juga disarankan untuk memahami adaptasi metode optimasi rute dalam konteks yang berbeda. Selain itu, eksplorasi integrasi teknologi baru seperti kecerdasan buatan (AI) dan Internet of Things (IoT) dalam optimasi rute pengiriman dapat membuka peluang untuk meningkatkan efisiensi operasional secara signifikan, memungkinkan KUKAMI Delivery untuk merespons perubahan pasar dengan lebih cepat dan efektif. Penelitian ini juga dapat diperluas dengan menganalisis dampak implementasi metode optimasi rute terhadap kepuasan pelanggan dan loyalitas merek, serta mengevaluasi potensi penghematan biaya jangka panjang yang dapat dicapai melalui peningkatan efisiensi logistik. Dengan demikian, KUKAMI Delivery dapat terus berinovasi dan mempertahankan keunggulan kompetitifnya di industri pengiriman yang semakin dinamis.
