Scaffolding: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam dan MultikulturalismeScaffolding: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam dan MultikulturalismeThis study aims to examine the actualization of Mohammad Natsirs Islamic education ideas in the transformation of learning at Pesantren Persatuan Islam (Persis), specifically at PPI 1 Pajagalan located in Bandung City and PPI 31 Banjaran in Bandung Regency. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a literature and case study approach. This research uses primary and secondary data. Primary data were obtained through a literature review of Natsirs works, as well as through interviews with curriculum managers and santri (students), direct observation of the learning process, and documentation of learning activities in both pesantren. Meanwhile, secondary data include scientific journals, books, and articles relevant to the research topic. Data analysis techniques used the Miles and Huberman model, as well as source and technique triangulation to maintain data validity. The results show that Mohammad Natsirs Islamic education ideas are well actualized in PPI 1 Pajagalan through a curriculum that integrates the values of tawhid, worship, science, and skills. Meanwhile, at PPI 31 Banjaran, although it does not explicitly refer to Natsir, the values that align with his thoughts are applied in the transformation of learning, especially in strengthening character and scientific integration. In conclusion, Natsirs educational thought is reflected in the learning system in both pesantren through a balanced combination of spiritual, intellectual, and practical aspects, in line with the principles of holistic Islamic education.
The study concludes that Mohammad Natsirs concept of comprehensive Islamic education, grounded in the values of tawhid, worship, and skill development, is effectively implemented in Pesantren Persatuan Islam (PPI) 1 Pajagalan and PPI 31 Banjaran.This implementation is evident in curricula that integrate faith, worship, general knowledge, and practical skills, alongside efforts to strengthen Islamic values and character.Both pesantren demonstrate a balanced approach to spiritual, intellectual, and practical development, aligning with the principles of holistic Islamic education.
Berdasarkan temuan penelitian ini, beberapa saran penelitian lanjutan dapat diajukan. Pertama, penelitian lebih lanjut dapat dilakukan untuk mengeksplorasi secara mendalam bagaimana nilai-nilai integral pendidikan Natsir dapat diimplementasikan dalam konteks kurikulum nasional, sehingga pesantren dapat berkontribusi lebih signifikan dalam pembangunan pendidikan di Indonesia. Kedua, penelitian komparatif dapat dilakukan dengan melibatkan berbagai jenis pesantren, baik tradisional maupun modern, untuk mengidentifikasi praktik-praktik terbaik dalam mengintegrasikan pendidikan agama dan sains, serta untuk memahami faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan implementasi konsep integral Natsir. Ketiga, penelitian perlu dilakukan untuk mengkaji dampak implementasi pendidikan integral Natsir terhadap perkembangan karakter santri, prestasi akademik, dan kesiapan mereka menghadapi tantangan global. Penelitian ini dapat menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan kualitatif untuk mendapatkan gambaran yang komprehensif tentang efektivitas pendidikan integral dalam membentuk generasi muda yang beriman, berilmu, dan berakhlak mulia. Penelitian-penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam pengembangan teori dan praktik pendidikan Islam di Indonesia, serta memperkuat peran pesantren sebagai pusat pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan peradaban.
