This study aimed to determine whether a YouTube English Channel could significantly enhance the speaking skills of second-semester Management students at the University of Baturaja in the 2018/2019 academic year. A quasi-experimental method was employed, involving 64 students. The results indicated a strong correlation between pre-test and post-test scores (Sig. = 0.000), with a t-obtained value (9.057) exceeding the t-table value (2.042). Therefore, a significant difference in speaking skill was observed before and after the intervention, suggesting that the YouTube English Channel effectively improved students speaking abilities.

The study demonstrated a significant improvement in students speaking skills following the use of an English YouTube Channel. This indicates that the channel served as an effective tool for enhancing speaking abilities. The findings support the use of YouTube as a supplementary resource in English language education to improve students communicative competence.

Further research could explore the specific types of YouTube content that are most effective for improving different aspects of speaking, such as fluency, pronunciation, and vocabulary. Additionally, studies could investigate the impact of using YouTube in combination with other teaching methods, like traditional classroom instruction or peer-to-peer learning, to create a more comprehensive learning experience. Finally, it would be beneficial to examine the long-term effects of using YouTube on students speaking skills and their confidence in using English in real-world communication scenarios, potentially through longitudinal studies tracking their progress beyond the immediate intervention period. These investigations will contribute to a deeper understanding of how to leverage digital resources to optimize English language learning outcomes.
