This study aims to determine the effect of work-life balance and organizational perception on employee engagement through psychological well-being among members of the Central Java Regional Police Traffic Directorate. The research method used is quantitative, with a population of 332 respondents. For sampling, the researcher employed purposive sampling, resulting in a sample of 120 respondents who met the criteria. Data collection was conducted using a scale method comprising the Work-Life Balance Scale, Perceived Organization Scale, Employee Engagement Scale, and Psychological Well-Being Scale. Furthermore, the analysis method used in this study was Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using the SmartPLS 4.0 application. The results obtained in this study indicate that work-life balance affects employee engagement, perceived organization also affects employee engagement, Psychological Well-Being influences Employee Engagement, Work-Life Balance influences Psychological Well-Being, Psychological Well-Being influences Employee Engagement, furthermore, Work-Life Balance influences Employee Engagement through Psychological Well-Being, while Perceived Organization does not influence Employee Engagement through Psychological Well-Being.

The study confirms that work-life balance and perceived organizational support significantly predict employee engagement, with psychological well-being acting as a crucial mediator.Police officers who experience organizational support and maintain a work-life balance are more likely to report higher engagement levels when their psychological well-being is nurtured.Future research should employ longitudinal studies to examine the long-term effects of these variables across diverse law enforcement contexts.

Based on the findings, future research could explore the specific mechanisms through which work-life balance impacts psychological well-being among police officers, potentially investigating the role of coping strategies or social support networks. Furthermore, a deeper understanding of why perceived organizational support does not significantly mediate the relationship between employee engagement and psychological well-being is warranted, perhaps through qualitative studies exploring officers experiences and perceptions. Finally, research could investigate the effectiveness of targeted interventions designed to enhance psychological well-being and engagement within the Central Java Regional Police Traffic Directorate, such as mindfulness training or stress management programs, to contribute to improved performance and public service delivery. These investigations, building upon the current study, will provide valuable insights for optimizing human resource management practices within law enforcement agencies and fostering a more engaged and resilient workforce.
