The development of the revolution in the digital era and exponential changes in technology and information require digital transformation strategies for business people and human resources in the future. In reality, not all human resources at PT Erima Baja Jaya have these digital capabilities, and not all of the companys human resources even know what the companys core competencies are. There are many cases where training activities take place, but the specifications and clarity of the training participants become the next obstacle. It is not uncommon to find employees who actually need these competencies but do not want to take part in the training offered by the company because they do not get any results from the company. Employees (Human Resources) are a very important asset in helping the company to achieve its goals, so improving their skills and abilities through training and development is a must and essential for the company. Training is an effort to improve employees abilities by preparing them to assume higher responsibilities in the future. This article discusses the influence of training on employee development competencies. There are findings from this literature review that training and development must be carried out fairly and transparently, and evaluations must be carried out to determine the results of the training and development implementation that has been carried out in the company. The results of this research are that there is an influence in training to increase employee competency.

Berdasarkan penelitian dan pembahasan yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan program pelatihan sangat berpengaruh untuk meningkatkan kompetensi karyawan pada PT Erima Baja Jaya.Selain itu, pengembangan kompetensi karyawan berpengaruh positif pada PT Erima Baja Jaya dalam era digital.Dengan demikian, investasi dalam pelatihan dan pengembangan merupakan langkah strategis untuk meningkatkan daya saing perusahaan.

Berdasarkan temuan penelitian ini, terdapat beberapa saran penelitian lanjutan yang dapat dilakukan. Pertama, penelitian lebih lanjut dapat dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis pelatihan spesifik yang paling efektif dalam meningkatkan kompetensi digital karyawan di PT Erima Baja Jaya, dengan mempertimbangkan perbedaan kebutuhan antar departemen atau level jabatan. Kedua, penelitian dapat difokuskan pada pengembangan model evaluasi pelatihan yang lebih komprehensif, tidak hanya mengukur peningkatan kompetensi, tetapi juga dampak pelatihan terhadap kinerja karyawan dan pencapaian tujuan perusahaan. Ketiga, penelitian dapat mengeksplorasi peran kepemimpinan dalam mendukung dan memfasilitasi proses pelatihan dan pengembangan, serta bagaimana gaya kepemimpinan yang berbeda dapat mempengaruhi efektivitas pelatihan. Penelitian-penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan yang lebih mendalam tentang bagaimana PT Erima Baja Jaya dapat mengoptimalkan investasi dalam pelatihan dan pengembangan untuk menghadapi tantangan era digital dan mencapai keunggulan kompetitif.
