The purpose of this study was to analyze the farmers internal and external factors on shallot productivity through the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for shallot cultivation as an intervening variable in Bondowoso Regency. The research method is descriptive quantitative, with data collection methods using primary and secondary data. The research technique uses path analysis (Path Analysis) using SPSS 22.0. The results of the analysis show that there is a significant influence of internal factors (X1) on shallot cultivation SOP (Z), external factor variables (X2) have a significant effect on cultivation SOP red onion (Z), the internal factor variable (X1) has a significant effect on shallot productivity (Y), there is a significant influence between external factor variables (X2) on shallot productivity (Y), as well as shallot cultivation SOP variable (Z) on Shallot productivity (Y). So it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between internal and external factors, through SOPs in Bondowoso. Recommendations for shallot farmers in Bondowos to follow SOP for shallot cultivation as a whole to increase shallot productivity.

The research findings demonstrate a significant relationship between internal and external factors and the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for shallot cultivation in Bondowoso.Both factors also significantly influence shallot farmer performance in the region.Furthermore, the implementation of SOPs for shallot cultivation has a substantial impact on shallot productivity.The study highlights the importance of SOPs as an intermediary factor, particularly in leveraging external factors to enhance shallot productivity.

Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, beberapa saran penelitian lanjutan dapat diajukan untuk memperdalam pemahaman mengenai peningkatan produktivitas bawang merah di Bondowoso dan daerah sekitarnya. Pertama, penelitian lebih lanjut dapat dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor internal spesifik pada tingkat petani, seperti karakteristik kepribadian atau tingkat adopsi teknologi lainnya, yang paling berkorelasi dengan keberhasilan implementasi SOP. Kedua, studi komparatif dapat dilakukan dengan membandingkan praktik pertanian bawang merah di Bondowoso dengan daerah lain yang memiliki tingkat produktivitas lebih tinggi, untuk mengidentifikasi praktik-praktik terbaik yang dapat diadopsi. Ketiga, penelitian dapat difokuskan pada pengembangan dan evaluasi efektivitas berbagai model penyuluhan pertanian yang lebih inovatif dan partisipatif, yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan keterampilan petani dalam menerapkan SOP secara konsisten. Penelitian-penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam upaya peningkatan kesejahteraan petani bawang merah dan ketahanan pangan di Indonesia.
