Arabica coffee is one of the leading plantation commodities in Tegalmulyo Village, Kemalang District, Klaten Regency. Tegal Subur Farmers Group is one of the active farmer groups in Tegalmulyo Village that manages the cultivation and post-harvest of arabica coffee. Studies on the strategy for developing arabica coffee agribusiness by farmer groups are still limited, especially in the Klaten area. The purpose of this research was to determine the internal and external factors that influence the development of Arabica coffee agribusiness in the Tegal Subur Farmers Group and to formulate alternative strategies for developing arabica coffee agribusiness in the Tegal Subur Farmers Group, Tegalmulyo Village, Kemalang District, Klaten Regency. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with primary and secondary data. Determination of respondents by census with a total of 24 members of the Tegal Subur Farmers Group. The analysis tools used include the IFE and EFE Matrices, the IE Matrix and the SWOT Matrix. The results showed that the total score of the IFE Matrix was 2,913, while the total score of the EFE Matrix was 2,886. Analysis of the strategic position with the IE Matrix shows that the strategic position is in cell V, namely the area of implementation of the strategy of maintaining and preserving. Internal and external factors analyzed use SWOT Matrix, produces 11 alternative strategies. The right alternative strategy to be implemented for the development of arabica coffee agribusiness in the Tegal Subur Farmers Group is that the farmer group completes PIRT on the packaging of ground coffee products.

Based on the research results regarding the arabica coffee agribusiness development strategy in the Tegal Subur Farmers Group in Tegalmulyo Village, Kemalang District, Klaten Regency, it can be concluded that the main internal strength is the natural potential in the farming group environment which is very suitable for arabica coffee cultivation and agrotourism.The main weakness is that farmers in this area still cultivate arabica coffee using conventional tools.The main external opportunity is the increasing demand for Sapuangin arabica coffee in the market, while the main threat is that farmer groups in other areas have superiority in terms of labeling.

Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, beberapa saran penelitian lanjutan dapat diajukan untuk memperdalam pemahaman mengenai pengembangan agribisnis kopi arabika di Tegal Subur Farmers Group dan wilayah sekitarnya. Pertama, penelitian lebih lanjut perlu dilakukan untuk menganalisis secara mendalam mengenai efektivitas penerapan strategi sertifikasi Indikasi Geografis (IG) terhadap peningkatan nilai jual dan daya saing kopi Sapuangin di pasar nasional maupun internasional. Penelitian ini dapat mengkaji proses permohonan sertifikasi IG, biaya yang dibutuhkan, serta dampak positif dan negatifnya terhadap kesejahteraan petani. Kedua, studi komparatif mengenai praktik budidaya kopi arabika berkelanjutan antara Tegal Subur Farmers Group dengan kelompok tani lain yang telah menerapkan praktik Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) dapat memberikan wawasan berharga. Penelitian ini dapat mengidentifikasi kendala dan tantangan dalam penerapan GAP, serta merumuskan rekomendasi kebijakan untuk mendorong adopsi praktik berkelanjutan oleh petani kopi. Ketiga, penelitian mengenai pengembangan model bisnis agrowisata kopi yang terintegrasi dengan potensi wisata alam dan budaya di Desa Tegalmulyo perlu dilakukan. Penelitian ini dapat mengkaji preferensi wisatawan, potensi pasar agrowisata, serta strategi pemasaran yang efektif untuk menarik wisatawan dan meningkatkan pendapatan petani kopi.
