One of the items that might help youngsters improve their cognitive talents is early exposure to the solar system. They will be familiar with the moon, the sun, and numerous other planets besides the Earth. The introduction of the solar system would help encourage youngsters to be thankful for Allah Subhanahu wa Taalas magnificence. The introduction of the solar system as something new that cannot be seen directly necessitates the introduction of a more appealing learning medium for youngsters. Research on learning media uses research and development, which adheres to Borg and Galls theory but only at seven of the ten phases that it should. A pop-up book was created as a learning medium to introduce the solar system, The Pop-Up Book is a highly viable option for introducing the solar system to youngsters in order to fulfill the goal of cognitive development through science play activities.

The development of pop-up book learning media for expanding childrens understanding of the solar system involved seven stages of research and development.Validation by experts in media and materials, along with teacher assessments and product trials with children aged 5-6 years, indicated that the pop-up book is highly feasible as a learning medium.The use of this media is expected to improve childrens scientific knowledge, processes, products, and scientific attitudes, fostering responsibility, curiosity, and a sense of gratitude for Gods creation.

Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, beberapa saran penelitian lanjutan dapat diajukan untuk memperluas pemahaman tentang efektivitas media pop-up book dalam pembelajaran sains pada anak usia dini. Pertama, penelitian lebih lanjut dapat dilakukan dengan melibatkan sampel anak yang lebih besar dan beragam, termasuk anak-anak dengan kebutuhan khusus, untuk menguji generalisasi temuan penelitian ini. Kedua, studi komparatif dapat dilakukan untuk membandingkan efektivitas media pop-up book dengan media pembelajaran sains lainnya, seperti video animasi atau permainan interaktif, untuk menentukan pendekatan mana yang paling efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep sains pada anak-anak. Ketiga, penelitian kualitatif mendalam dapat dilakukan untuk mengeksplorasi pengalaman belajar anak-anak saat menggunakan media pop-up book, termasuk bagaimana mereka berinteraksi dengan media tersebut, bagaimana mereka membangun pemahaman tentang konsep sains, dan bagaimana media tersebut memengaruhi motivasi dan minat mereka terhadap sains. Penelitian-penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap pengembangan media pembelajaran sains yang lebih efektif dan menarik bagi anak usia dini, serta meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan sains secara keseluruhan.
