This study aims to analyze the management of the community-based pring sewu cultural market through a Community Based Management (CBM) approach in Binangun Hamlet as part of the development of a tourist village in Plintahan Village, Pandaan District, Pasuruan Regency.

Based on the research findings, the management of the Pring Sewu cultural market is carried out in a participatory manner by the Binangun Hamlet community through mutual agreement, the application of local norms, and a flexible division of roles. The use of bamboo coins as a transaction tool is a form of local ownership and innovation that supports the economic sustainability of MSME actors while strengthening the identity of culture-based tourism villages. The findings of this study show that community-based market management can be a model for strengthening tourism villages that rely on the participation and independence of local communities.

Based on the research findings and the existing literature, the following suggestions for further research are proposed:. . 1. Enhancing digital promotion: The study highlights the importance of promoting the Pring Sewu cultural market through digital channels. To further strengthen its online presence, the market management could collaborate with local youth and community organizations to actively manage and promote the markets social media platforms. This would help attract a wider audience and increase visitor engagement.. . 2. Fostering collaboration with student volunteers: The research acknowledges the valuable contributions of student volunteers through their KKN (Community Service) activities. To build upon this, the market management could establish a more structured and long-term collaboration with local universities or student organizations. This could involve regular student involvement in market activities, such as organizing creative events, promoting the market, and providing innovative ideas for its development.. . 3. Government support for visitor facilities: The study emphasizes the role of the local government in supporting the development of the Pring Sewu cultural market as part of the Plintahan tourist village. To enhance the visitor experience and promote sustainable tourism, the government could provide additional facilities for visitors, such as information boards, designated cleanliness areas, and improved market infrastructure. This would contribute to a more organized and welcoming environment for tourists.. . 4. Structuring community roles: While the research highlights the active participation of the Binangun Hamlet community in managing the market, there is an opportunity to further structure and organize community roles and responsibilities. This could involve developing a clear division of tasks among community members, ensuring effective coordination, and promoting a sense of shared ownership and accountability. A more structured approach would enhance the markets efficiency and sustainability.
