Based on the findings and conclusions of this study, several suggestions for further research can be proposed. Firstly, a comparative study could be conducted to analyze the implementation of Customary Law in different regions of Indonesia, considering the diverse cultural and legal contexts across the archipelago. This would provide a comprehensive understanding of how Customary Law is applied and its impact on local governance. Secondly, exploring the potential for harmonizing Customary Law with modern legal systems is crucial. Research could focus on identifying areas where Customary Law and State Law intersect and proposing strategies to ensure their compatibility while preserving the integrity of both systems. Finally, given the dynamic nature of society and the need for continuous development, a longitudinal study could be designed to track the evolution of Customary Law within the Village Government System over time. This would allow for the identification of emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities, ensuring that the system remains responsive to the changing needs of the community.
