Samarinda city has significant potential for local revenue in the parking fee sector, evidenced by the increasing number of vehicles. However, this growth hasnt translated into a proportional increase in parking revenue due to a lack of clear transaction records and the prevalence of illegal parking operations. To address these issues, this study proposes the development of a web-based information system to store and record parking transactions, along with an API to support related applications. The goal is to improve transparency and accountability in parking fee collection, ensuring accurate revenue reporting and tax levy calculations for parking attendants within the “Parmon application.

This research successfully developed a web-based system and API for managing parking transactions in Samarinda.The system allows for user registration, price setting, transaction recording, and data visualization.The API utilizes JWT security for authentication and enables efficient data exchange between the web application and other potential applications.The usability testing with the SUS method resulted in a score of 80.36, indicating a high level of user acceptance.

Future research could explore the integration of real-time parking space availability data into the “Parmon application, utilizing sensors or camera-based monitoring to guide drivers to open spots and reduce congestion. Another avenue for investigation is the implementation of a mobile application for drivers, allowing them to easily pay for parking, receive digital receipts, and view parking history. Finally, a study on the scalability and security of the “Parmon system, particularly in handling a large volume of transactions and protecting sensitive user data, would be valuable to ensure its long-term viability and reliability.
