This study aims to look at the role of the village government in administrative services at the Diat Village office, Bukal District, Buol Regency. This study uses a type of descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Primary data was collected through direct interviews with key informants, such as village heads, village officials, and the community. Meanwhile, secondary data is obtained from related literature and official documents of the village government. The results of the study show that the majority of people are satisfied with the services provided by the village government, but there are several problems related to the speed of the service process which is considered slow. The main inhibiting factors identified include: (1) Facilities and infrastructure, although adequate, still need improvement in terms of maintenance and care; (2) Education and training for village officials need to be improved to improve professionalism and skills in providing services; (3) Public understanding of service procedures needs to be improved, especially related to the distribution of social assistance. This study concludes that the implementation of public services in East Moutong Village has reached several levels of success, but still needs improvement in several aspects to achieve optimal public services according to the set standards. Efforts to improve the quality of service can be carried out by paying attention to the inhibiting factors that have been identified in this study.

Conclusion

The research concludes that public service implementation in East Moutong Village has shown progress, but several inhibiting factors require attention to achieve optimal results.The majority of the community is satisfied with the services provided, although the speed of the service process is considered slow by some.Improvements are needed in facility maintenance, education and training for village officials, and addressing identified inhibiting factors to achieve service standards.

Future Research

Penelitian lebih lanjut perlu dilakukan untuk mengeksplorasi secara mendalam dampak dari pelatihan dan peningkatan kompetensi aparatur desa terhadap kualitas pelayanan publik, dengan fokus pada pengukuran peningkatan efisiensi dan kepuasan masyarakat. Selain itu, studi komparatif antara desa-desa dengan tingkat keberhasilan implementasi pelayanan publik yang berbeda dapat memberikan wawasan berharga mengenai praktik-praktik terbaik dan faktor-faktor kunci yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan. Terakhir, penelitian yang berfokus pada pengembangan model pelayanan publik berbasis teknologi yang sesuai dengan karakteristik dan kebutuhan masyarakat desa, termasuk pemanfaatan platform digital untuk meningkatkan aksesibilitas dan transparansi pelayanan, sangatlah penting untuk dilakukan. Penelitian-penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan rekomendasi yang lebih komprehensif dan kontekstual bagi pemerintah desa dalam meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan publik dan mewujudkan kesejahteraan masyarakat.
